2023: Adewole Adebayo mean well for Nigeria, let us do what is right – Gen. Useni

In view of the 2023 general elections, General Jeremiah Timbut Useni has said  the presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), prince Adwole Adebayo  mean well for Nigeria, urged Nigerians to do what is right instead of allowing money to influence their choice of the presidential candidate to be voted for.

He added that continuous use of money as the determinant factor for winning election will rather mar than make Nigeria even as it will further widen the religious, tribal and ethnic crisis of the country, underpins the need for Nigerians to vote  the  right people in power to salvage the nation from her present  quagmire.

General Useni made the revelation when he played host to the Social Democratic Party (SDP) Presidential Candidate, Prince Adewole Adebayo at his residence on Friday in Abuja.

” I encourage you to do the right thing, get things straight. Choose the right presidential candidate. Don’t do the right thing for material (monetary) gains.

“My plea is that we must do the right thing. Vote wisely, vote for the right people. Vote without sentiments. Our economy is shaking, Nigeria owes 40 Trillion Naira and there’s more to be done to salvage this Nation.

“I have listened to him, he meant well for Nigerians, I support him and we support  him, the retired but not tired Gen. said.

Earlier, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) Presidential Candidate, Prince Adewole Adebayo said his party has Nigeria at heart.

He said: Being a stakeholder and a military general, you know the differences between peace and ceasefire. Ceasefire, Nigeria has gotten but is yet to get peace, this is what Nigeria will get under my watch as President.

Adding that solutions to Nigerian’s problems have been founded but not yet accepted into our politics.

Adebayo hinted that everything we need to succeed as a nation has been given to us but we have been running an unfair system, saying, there is no place in this country where people don’t complain.

To solve this “We must have a government in place that will look back to correct the injustices of the past and then put a mark not to have further injustices.

If just leaders are made, all the problems Nigeria is facing would be addressed”, he said.

He, however, charged the senior citizen cum leaders to act as mentors to the new ones for Nigeria to be a better place while he vows to bring sincerity to government anv governance.

In his entourage are the immediate past Minister for sport and youth development, Hon. Solomon Dalung, Sen. Ugochukwu Uba, the national publicity secretary of SDP, amb. Rufus Aiyenigba, Hon. Oriri Richard and others.
