A socio-political, Ohamadike Support Group, has vowed to retire the serving senator of Ebonyi North Senatorial District, Dr. Sam Ominyi Egwu come 2023 general election.

Speaking after its meeting held in Ezzangbo in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, Coordinator of the group in the area, Hon. Onwe Joseph Oge, said the people from the area were ready to vote massively for the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Hon. Barrister Onyekachi Newbonyi.

Onwe, who doubles as the Coordinator of NgboEast Development Center, maintained in an interview with journalists, it was time for the youth to be allowed to occupy elective position.

According to him, Senator Egwu has done well, having served as former governor, minister and as a serving senator.

He said, ” Today is a very remarkable day in Ohaukwu Local Government Area as well as the All Progressives Congress (APC) family.

“The mammoth crowd you are seeing here today is in solidarity support and love to our beloved son, Hon. Barrister Onyekachi Newbonyi, as the only qualified candidate to represent the good people of Ebonyi North at the Red Chambers come 2023.

“The people here are his supporters from Ohaukwu Local Government Area. They are the valid voters’ card carriers in the area. They are all seated here with the Permanent Voters’ Card (PVC) to vote out bad representation in Ebonyi North.

“Dr. Sam Egwu as a two term governor, still a serving senator in his second tenure, former minister, has done so well as a former governor. The people here gave him that mandate. We have agreed that enough is enough, and by 2023, we are going to retire him politically.

“This is the time for the youths. Ohamadike is youth o’clock. He represents the youth. The support we gave to him that made him a senator, we are going to redouble for Ohamadike by February 2023 when votes will be cast. He is going to win Dr. Sam Egwu before 2 o’clock”, Onwe boasted.
