Funke Akindele is the most hardworking entertainer I know – Falz reveals

Falz, the Nigerian rapper, has described Funke Akindele, the actress, as the “most hardworking entertainer” he has ever encountered.

In an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, the singer discussed his feature on the actress’ hit sitcom ‘Jenifa’s Diary’.

Falz revealed that the filmmaker reached out to him to feature in her project after watching his videos on social media.

“I remember Funke Akindele, a big shout out to her, by the way; She had reached out to me maybe by Instagram or something,” he said.

“Anyway, she had seen some of those videos. Yeah, and she had something she was working on. Yeah, she would like me to be a part of it. There was no ‘Jenifa’s Diary’; the diary did not exist.”

Falz expressed admiration for Akindele’s dedication and work ethic, describing her as the “most hardworking entertainer in Nigeria”.

“I do not think I have ever crossed paths with any other entertainer in this country. Yes, that is more hard-working than she is,” he said.

The musician is currently part of ‘Everybody Loves Jenifa’, Akindele’s film, set for release on December 13.

The cast also includes Omowumi Dada, Nancy Isime, Stan Nze, and Jackie Appiah.

Falz is a multi-talented artiste known for his contributions to both music and film. He has won two AMVCA awards for his roles in ‘Jenifa’s Diary’ and ‘New Money’.

He is renowned for using his music to address social issues and bad governance, with popular tracks like ‘Wehdone Sir’, ‘Child of the World’, and ‘Talk’.

His impressive career has earned him numerous awards, including ‘Album of the Year’ at the 2016 City People Entertainment Awards.
