Buba Congratulates Candidates of the APC in Adamawa State,Says There is No Victor,No Vanquished ,Calls on All Party Members in the State to Join Hands to Achieve Victory

Chairman of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs and candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress for Gombi/Hong Federal Constituency in the 2023 General Elections,Rt.Hon.(Dr.)Yusuf Buba Yakub, has conveyed felicitations to all the members of the ruling Party, who were returned as candidates in the just- concluded Party primaries held for various positions across the State.

In a congratulatory message he personally signed and made available to newsmen in Abuja today,Sunday, the lawmaker reiterated his appeal at the venue of the primary election where he had emerged as candidate of the Party for the Green Chambers of the National Assembly that, both those who emerged as candidates of the ruling Party and those who could not make it at this time must close ranks and work together for the common good of the Party.

He said ,since the objective of those who emerged candidates was to represent the Party it was, therefore ,clear that there was neither victor nor vanquished in the entire exercise in the true sense of the words. While noting that the primary election, which was a Party affair, was a mere means of selecting a standard-bearer for each elective position in the Party, he said the process must be followed by real work where all hands and inputs are required if the APC must garner a strong showing in the secondary elections. He called on all members of the Party to eschew the kind of bitterness that cost the Party the guber seat in 2019,adding that in division will no group prevail.

Buba, who is returning to the National Assembly, thanked the delegates of the APC in his Constituency as well as all Party leaders and elders in Adamawa State for the confidence they repose in him, which,he said, informed the latest endorsement he has received from them to go on with his programmes and projects for the good people of Gombi/Hong Federal Constituency.

While stressing the fact that he does not take for granted the love and support of the people,as typified by the wide margin with which he defeated his closest contestant for the Rep ticket in the just-, concluded primaries, the former political Party leader said the youths and women of the Constituency would again gain heavily by his training programmes and initiatives, including the usual start-up equipment and cash. He used the occasion to also inform of the graduation of the trainees he had sponsored for a six- month skills acquisition programme at the Gibson Jalo Cantonment, 23 Brigade, Nigerian Army,Jimeta,Yola.

Recall that Rt. Hon. Buba was among those who emerged as candidates of the APC in Adamawa State on Friday in the primary elections for members of the National Assembly. The lawmaker polled a whopping 100 votes against his closest rival’s 10 votes.
