Rep. Buba on Tuesday 10th January 2023 Welcomes President Buhari, APC Presidential Flag-bearer, Bola Tinubu,Party Leaders to Adamawa State, Says APC Remains the Party to Beat in the Sunshine State.
Rt. Hon.( Dr.) Yusuf Buba Yakub has conveyed his goodwill and that of his Constituents to the President and Commander-in-Chief, Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR; the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC),His Excellency, Sen. Abdullahi Adamu; the Presidential candidate of the Party,
His Excellency,Sen.Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the leadership and members of the National Assembly as well as other national and Party leaders on the occasion of their visit to Adamawa State for the flag-off of the Party’s campaigns in respect of its Presidential, gubernatorial and other elections.
In a message he personally signed and made available to his media office ,Monday,in Abuja ,Rep Buba said the leaders of the APC were on their way home to one of the most formidable strongholds of the Party in the country.
He said Adamawa State was one of the States that at the formation of the Party in the 2014/2015 electoral season embraced the Party with effortless ease and total commitment and that, despite the later loss of the governorship seat and some important elective offices in the State ,APC remains the Party to beat.
While welcoming President Buhari and the Party leaders to the rally, Rep.Buba also reminded them that the people of the State from where hail the First Lady, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Her Excellency, Haj. Aisha Muhammadu Buhari; the current Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Barr. Boss Mustapha, his predecessor and worthy compatriot, Mr B.D Lawal;the incumbent Zonal Chairman of the Northeast for the Party, Comrade Mustapha, as well as the former henchman of the FRSC, retired Gen. Haladu Hananiya, and the action-oriented NDLEA strong man, retired Gen. Buba Marwa, among many others, were no longer prepared to let the State slip through their fingers in the coming elections.
In his words,the Gombi/Hong Rep emphasized:
“All our leaders in Adamawa State are now on one page and have, therefore, in unison resolved that we will no longer allow any part of the State to elude our grips. From top to bottom, Adamawa people have again pledged their loyalty to our great Party, especially, in consideration of how good Mr President and his Administration have been to our dear State. We thank our leaders for this opportunity to showcase the might and strength of our Party in our State to the entire world.”
While assuring President Muhammadu Buhari and the APC of their resolve to give back to the Party what they have given the Adamawa people in terms of infrastructural development, human capital development and appointments into various positions of authority, leadership and responsibility for indigenes of the State in nearly the past eight years since coming to power, the Adamawa-born lawmaker, who is also the House Committee Chairman on Foreign Affairs, called on all the Party faithful across the State to show up en masse to demonstrate their appreciation to Mr President and the Party under which the State has fared best in recent memory.
