The lawmaker representing Gombi/Hong Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives,Rt. Hon.(Dr.)Yusuf Buba Yakub,has said that the people of his Constituency and the entire Adamawa State will do everything in their powers to ensure that the great vision of upscaling the General Hospital,Hong,to a Federal Medical Centre by the Buhari Administration is highly supported to bear the required fruits.
Rep. Buba,who stated the above in Abuja,Friday,in his National Assembly office,congratulated Prof. Wilberforce Yusuf Nyandaiti of the Department of Medicine, University of Maiduguri,Borno State,on his secondment to oversee the newly-upgraded medical facility.
While commending the continuous co-operation of the Federal Ministry of Health on the Federal Medical Centre,Hong,since the commencement of the legislative processes that saw the Bill for its establishment becoming an Act of Parliament,the lawmaker said the appointment of Prof.Nyandaiti,a consummate professional and teacher in the medical profession,as pioneer head of the facility was a clear case of placing a round peg in a round hole.
The Gombi/Hong Representative,who is,also, Chairman, Committee on Foreign Affairs,House of Representatives, pledged the support and goodwill of the people of his Constituency and, indeed,those of the people of Adamawa State to the newly-appointed head of the medical institution. While reminding him that a lot of hope was reposed in him by those who believe in his ability to turn in results,Rep. Buba, equally, expressed the hope that his tenure at the medical institution would be replete with progress and development.
The lawmaker, again, re-iterated his gratitude to President Muhammadu Buhari,his colleagues at the both Chambers of the National Assembly as well as to the Secretary, Government of the Federation,Barr.Boss Mustapha, and the people of his Constituency,all of whom through various laudable contributions,he emphasized, made the dream of the Federal Medical Centre an exciting reality. He also concluded by assuring the people that,certainly,better days were in the offing for all parts of his Constituency.
